Lap two

Had a bit of a rough night.  Had trouble sleeping and my head was aching.  Was given toradol.  I slept fitfully.  I did dreM; although I don’t think it was prophetic or God getting my attention.

My dream was of Miss Kitty and Marshall Dillon frying fish over a campfire to feed some grubby bearded miners.  I think one was Gabby Hayes.  The miners were fighting over who had the biggest fish and the crispiest fish.  Ok , you dream interpreters have at it.

I have had my meds, my assessment test, breakfast and my bedside bath.  Physical therapy came in and put on my APO know dubbed “the cacoon”, I did two laps around the floor.  Amazing the difference. Did my leg exercises and manipulated the hand.  Don’t have the movement of last night yet today.

Waiting for Ron, Dr and to see what is happening next.  Looks as if I will be moving across the street.  3 hours of rehab  day.  I know for you functioning folk that doesn’t seem to be a lot but tie your hand to your side, drag your foot, have a constant headache and let’s see how far you get.

I am a wife, mother, and pastor. We moved from Bowling Green, Missouri to Idaho Falls in 2016. I am a native of Eastern Washington state. In 2013 I had 2 strokes in 8 days and this is my journey of faith, family and health. I believe no matter what happens in your life that God can use it for His glory.

  1. It sounds like they are working you over this morning. And it will be worth it in the end if it helps you to get better. Prayers are still going up and we know that God is answering them as well. Hugs and love you

  2. 3 hours would be a lot for the rest of us sissies! Rehab is not for sissies! You are one tough girl, go for it! Maybe Miss Kitty was prophetic – she to was not a sissie!
    Love and prayers from Washington

  3. Want you to know I am praying for your recovery – my boyfriend had a massive stroke 3 years ago and he is working back to normal. He has been thru what you are going thru – he is doing awesome – he and I are praying for you. You GO Donna – you will make it!
