Well, we have good news and bad news

Always dread when conversations begin with that phrase.  Good news is we have gotten the muscle relaxer to relax that tone.  Bad news is that medicaid does not cover out patient rehab, good news is that they do covet an extended stay.

Because of the state of my left hand and left foot they want me to stay another 1 to 2 weeks here.  For the care and learning how to do what its great.  But I am missing home.  Ron has said he can’t come down every day which is understandable.

I am a bit shell shocked so I have not digested this latest news fully yet.

  1. I know when I was in rehab they made arrangements for Don and I to go out for an evening…. Maybe you could check in to that. At least if you could get out, it might help… don’t remember how far or for how long it was allowed, but it couldn’t hurt to ask…
    Prayers continue.

  2. Dawn I think the main concern is for you to get better even if it does take more time. The
churches will survive; we have before. Many people will help in whatever way is needed.
and I think you know that. Perhaps God is telling you something important and you need to listen.
    Always in our prayers.

  3. I agree with Dick all we want is for you to get better and if that means having to spend a few more days in the hospital so be it!! As Cindy said also, it’s ok for you to have a pity party after all you’ve been through, just don’t let be one continuous party. We all love you and are praying for your recovery, which we know will happen. We just have to remember it will happen in God’s time not ours. Which is something I struggle with all the time. Love you and keeping you in prayer!!
