Nurses are human too

Tonight am not going to write about me directly.  I want to write about the staff and how the make us feel.

These people from maintenance to kitchen to cafeteria workers to techs to therapist to case managers to nurses and to doctors, these folks all have humanity.  But we the patients and families who want to be recognized as people an not just patients often forget to look at these folks.  They are human and have families, problems, highs and lows.  They give us their heart and souls.  They cheer is on, encourage us, make us laugh, listen to us bitch and moan, wipe our tears and are there during those intimate moments.

They do all of this and put us first. They put aside their lives for 12 hours a day.  I wanted to thank them for all they do and how they have treated me in this process.

I am a wife, mother, and pastor. We moved from Bowling Green, Missouri to Idaho Falls in 2016. I am a native of Eastern Washington state. In 2013 I had 2 strokes in 8 days and this is my journey of faith, family and health. I believe no matter what happens in your life that God can use it for His glory.

  1. Well said, Dawn. The medical field has unsung heroes everyday in everyway and we should give thanks knowing they are there for us when we need them in so many ways.
