As We Gather

Poem written by me for this morning’s Easter Sunrise Service

In the early morning light
As We gather
We see God’s beauty

We come to see the grave
As We gather
To mourn the one we loved

Our steps begin to slow
As we gather
We don’t want want to see

Our eyes widen in shock and horror
As we gather
The grave is empty, the grave is empty

Our hearts race, shock comes
As we gather
His body is gone who could steal it

A voice softly speaks to us
As we gather
Don’t look here,  he has Risen

We are amazed, we are in awe
As we gather
He is alive He is alive
Christ has risen indeed

Today in this place
As we gather
We remember

I am a wife, mother, and pastor. We moved from Bowling Green, Missouri to Idaho Falls in 2016. I am a native of Eastern Washington state. In 2013 I had 2 strokes in 8 days and this is my journey of faith, family and health. I believe no matter what happens in your life that God can use it for His glory.
